KIDNEYCON 2019

KIDNEYCON 2019

12th Annual State Conference of Pediatric Nephrology chapter IAP Kerala and ISN SAT SRC Regional CME 2019 in Association with International society of Nephrology was conducted on 15th and 16th of June 2019.

On 15th June we had *2 workshops, Critical Care Nephrology workshop* at Aster MIIMS and *Renal Replacement Therapy* workshop at BMH hospital. Both attended by around 35 delegates.

On 15th afternoon we had *IAP Premier Cricket league*, attended by 7 branch IAPs and Calicut IAP cricket Team *"The Zamorinz"* was the winners and Trivandrum IAP Cricket Team "Travancore Strikers" were the runners up.

*On 16th we had the KIDNEYCON CME*. *Dr Krishnan C*, Organizing Chairperson welcomed the gathering. Programme was inaugurated by *Dr Rajendran, Principal, GMC Kozhikode*. *Dr Lenikumar Joseph*, Chairperson Nephrology chapter chaired the function and *Dr Santhosh M K*, President IAP Kerala gave the keynote adress.

*Kidneycon Souvenir* was released by *Dr Prathap Somnath* Vice Principal, GMC Kozhikode, prepared by 

*Dr Ranjith P*, Chief Editor Souvenir Committee.

*Dr Vijayakumar M*, Companion editor released the next edition of Pediatric Companion by handing over to Dr Santhosh M K. *Dr AjithKumar V T*, HOD, Department of Pediatrics GMC Kozhikode, *Dr Balachandar D*, Secretary IAP Kerala, *Dr Preetha Remesh*, President NNF Kozhikode and *Dr Nihaz Naha K*, Secretary, IAP Kozhikode felicitated the function. *Dr Mohandas Nair,* Addtional Superintendent, IMCH graced the occasion. *Dr Rahul Illaparambath*, Organizing Secretary, Kidneycon delivered the Vote of Thanks.

For the academic session we had eminent faculties from both in and outside the state. The list includes *Dr Arpana Iyengar and Dr Anil Vasudevan* from St.Johns Medical College, Bangalore, *Dr. Susan Uthup, Dr.Radhika and Dr Lenikumar* from South Kerala and other faculties from Calicut includes *Dr.Preetha Remesh, Dr Mohandas Nair, Dr Krishnan C, Dr Geetha MG* and few others. The CME was well attended by around 180 delegates and was  well appreciated for it's content and organization.
